One-day cave navigation course
The cave navigation course is a one-day course in navigating horizontal maze caves. The course takes place in Hariton Cave, at the foot of the settlement of Tekoa, the longest limestone cave in Israel.
In the course we learn how caves are built and how they are shown on a map. We learn the conventional symbols. We go out together on a guided navigation, and finally practice solo navigation.
Registration depends on a down payment of 500 ILS.
Course programme
The navigation series takes place in Hariton Cave, the longest limestone cave in Israel
Meeting point: Hariton Cave parking lot in Tekoa
Meeting time: 8:00.
- Basic introduction to the geology, history and zoology of the cave
- Introduction to what is special about navigating in caves
- Guided navigation in the cave
- Independent navigation in the cave
Course price:
250 ILS per participant
The price includes: instruction, equipment and insurance.
The price does not include: food, travel.
